Instructor Support: Training & Office Hours
Instructors are responsible for delivering the curriculum effectively—and it’s our responsibility as Product Developers to make sure they feel confident and supported. This page outlines the required trainings and optional office hours that Product Developers must coordinate when launching or updating curriculum.
Instructor Training (Required)
A live, structured session led by the Product Developer to walk instructors through the updated curriculum, key assessments, and simulation model.
When to Schedule Training
- Before piloting a new curriculum (ideally 2-3 weeks in advance)
- After major curriculum revisions (e.g., changes to simulation structure, assessments, module flow)
Who Should Attend
All instructors assigned to teach the revised or new content. If an instructor cannot attend live, they must review the recording and provided summary before teaching.
Emergency Trainings
If a last-minute assignment or urgent change occurs, a Product Developer may schedule an emergency training with 24-48 hours’ notice. Please notify IDQA when this is needed.

Instructor Office Hours (Encouraged)
Monthly Zoom sessions hosted by Product Developers to support instructors while the curriculum is being taught. These sessions are optional but strongly recommended—especially during the first run or after significant changes.
Why Office Hours Matter
They offer a space for instructors to ask questions, share feedback, and stay aligned with the simulation model and pacing expectations.

RSVP & Attendance Policy

- Instructors must RSVP or submit questions at least 24 hours in advance
- If no RSVPs are received, the session may be canceled
- If no one joins within 15 minutes, the Product Developer may exit the Zoom room
- If questions were submitted in advance, follow up asynchronously with notes or guidance
